Hazards Identification
Potential Health Effects
May cause eye irritation. May cause slight skin irritation. Prolonged skin contact may cause dermatitis. Vapors or mists may cause irritation to the eyes, nose, throat, and respiratory tract. High concentrations above the worker exposure limits may cause central nervous system depression (e.g. dizziness, weakness, nausea, headaches, drowsiness and stupor). Small amounts of liquid aspirated into the lungs can cause chemical pneumonitis, which can be fatal. Besides being an aspiration hazard, ingestion may cause gastrointestinal disturbances (e.g. irritation, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea) and central nervous system depression. Repeated overexposure to petroleum naphtha can cause nervous system damage.
Preexisting eye, skin, and respiratory disorders may be aggravated by exposure to this product.
