Routes of Entry: Eye, Inhalation, Skin
Health Hazards: When used as directed, as a cat litter, there is no significant health hazard. Excessive airborne dust concentrations may result in irritation of the respiratory tract. Eye or skin contact may cause irritation.

Signs and Symptoms of Exposure: airborne dust may cause irritation and asthmatic reactions if inhaled, i.e., coughing, wheezing, tightness in chest, shortness of breath and nasal discharge.
Eye contact: will cause mechanical irritation, i.e., pain, redness and swelling.
Skin contact: may cause dermatitis, i.e., pain, redness, itching and swelling in hypersensitive people.
Ingestion: symptoms are not expected following ingestion, however, ingestion should be avoided.

Chronic: long-term repeated excessive exposure to airborne dust concentrations may result in fibrotic and neoplastic lung disease.
