Toxicity: Eye and skin irritant. The silanes are severe eye, skin, and respiratory irritants. They can cause painful and permanent corneal damage and loss of vision. The low concentration of silane in the product minimizes its effects.
Primary Routes of Entry: Silane: Eye, skin, inhalation.
Signs and Symptoms of Exposure: Acetic acid produced during cure irritates eyes, nose, and throat.
Existing Conditions Aggravated by Exposure: Methyltriacetoxysilane: Eye, skin, and pulmonary disorders.
