| From MSDS:Health Hazard DataEmergency Overview: Flammable liquid and vapor. May cause eye and skin irritation. Inhalation of vapors may cause nose and throat irritation, headache, dizziness, drowsiness and fatigue. High concentrations may cause central nervous system effects such as dizziness. May be harmful or fatal if swallowed.Potential Health EffectsEye: May cause irritation, redness, tearing and blurred vision.Skin: May cause irritation, drying or dermatitis on prolonged or repeated contact.Inhalation: Breathing vapors may cause irritation of the nose, throat and upper respiratory tract and dizziness, drowsiness and fatigue. High vapors concentrations may narcosis, unconsciousness and even death. Intential misuse of this product by deliberately inhaling its vapors may be harmful or fatal.Ingestion: Ingestion is an unlikely route of exposure. May cause gastrointestinal irritation, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and diarrhea. Aspiration into the lungs may cause serious lung damage.Medical Conditions Aggravated by Exposure: Persons with pre-existing skin, respiratory and cardiovascular disorders. |
| From MSDS:Reports have associated repeated and prolonged occupational overexposure to solvents with cardiac effects and permanent brain, nervous system, liver and kidney damage. Prolonged overexposure to xylene may cause blood, liver and kidney damage. |
| Ethyl benzene is classified by IARC as possibly carcinogenic to humans (group 2B). The ACGIH classifies ethyl benzene as a confirmed animal carcinogen with unknown relevance to humans (A3). Titanium dioxide is classified by IARC as possibly carcinogenic to humans (group 2B). The ACGIH classifies titanium dioxide as not classifiable as a human carcinogen (A4). The titanium dioxide in this product is incorporated into the caulk and no exposure occurs during normal use. None of the other components of this product are listed as carcinogens by IARC, NTP or ACGIH. |
| Eye: Rinse thoroughly with water for at least 15 minutes, holding the eye lids open to be sure the material is washed out. Get prompt medical attention.Skin: Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water. Get medical attention if irritation or symptoms of exposure develop. Inhalation: If irritation or other symptoms develop, move to fresh air. Get medical attention if irritation persists. Ingestion: Ingestion is an unlikely route of exposure. If ingestion occurs rinse mouth with a small amount of water. DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Immediately call local poison control center or go to an emergency department. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious or drowsy person. |
