Health Effects

| Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Do not inhale vapors. Do not puncture or incinerate container. Do not use near heat, sparks or open flame. Extinguish all flames, pilot lights and heaters. Turn off stoves, electric tools and appliances, and other sources of ignition. Intentionally concentrating and inhaling the vapor may be harmful or fatal. Use only in a well ventilated area. Vapors may accumulate readily and may ignite explosively. Wash hands before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco or using the toilet.Store away from heat, sparks or open flame. Do not store at temperatures above 100 degrees F (38 degrees C). Exposure to high temperatures may cause container to burst. |
| From MSDS:Hazards IdentificationToxicity: May cause eye, skin and respiratory irritation. Aspiration hazard if swallowed. Long term exposure to high concentrations of vapor may cause lung, liver or kidney damage. Reports have associated repeated and prolonged overexposure to solvents with permanent brain and nervous system damage (sometimes referred to as solvent or painters syndrome). Symptoms include fatigue, concentration difficulties, anxiety, depression, rapid mood swings, and short-term memory loss. Intentional misuse by concentrating and inhaling the vapor may be harmful or fatal.Primary Routes of Entry: Eye and skin contact, ingestion, inhalationPotential Health EffectsInhalation: Excessive overexposure may cause giddiness, dizziness, headache, nausea and in extreme cases, unconsciousness and respiratory depression. Eye contact: May cause redness to eyes and irritation to nasal passages.Medical Conditions Recognized as Being Aggravated by Exposure: Heart disease, respiratory disorders, liver and kidney diseases, amenia, rhythm disorders of the heart. |

| Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Slowly dilute with 1-2 glasses of water or milk and seek medical attention. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.Inhalation: Move to fresh air in case of accidental inhalation of vapours. Oxygen or artificial respiration if needed. Obtain medical attention.Skin Contact: Wash off with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing and launder before reuse.
