Potential Health Effects
Route(s) of Entry: Inhalation, Ingestion
Inhalation of dust may cause mild irritation to mucous membranes, nose and throat. Symptoms may include coughing, dryness and sore throat. Ingestion of very large doses can cause vomiting, diarrhea and prostration. Dehydration and congestion may occur in internal organs. Hypertonic salt solutions can produce inflammatory reactions in the gastrointestinal tract.

First Aid:
Eye contact: Immediately flush eye thoroughly with water. Continue flushing eye for at least 15 minutes, including under lids, to remove all particles. Call physician immediately.
Skin contact: Wash skin with cool water and pH-neutral soap or a mild detergent. Seek medical treatment if irritation or inflammation develops or persists. Seek immediate medical treatment in the event of burns.
Inhalation: Remove person to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, administer oxygen. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. Seek medical help if coughing and other symptoms do not subside.
Ingestion: If large amounts were swallowed, get medical advice.
