PAKMIX Mortar Mix contains Portland cement. As with any cement materials, direct contact may irritate eyes and skin. Wear protective clothing, gloves and eye protection when using the product. If any material gets into the eyes, rinse immediately and contact a physician. Wash exposed skin
areas promptly with water. Do not take internally.
Warning Inhalation Hazard: Avoid inhalation of dust from this product, which contains crystalline silica that causes lung disease and cancer. Use with mechanical ventilation or respiratory protection (dust mask).
Warning: For structural use or to meet Code Requirement use PAKMIX Type S Mortar.
Keep Out of Reach of Children.

HEALTH HAZARDS
Wet Portland cement can dry the skin and cause alkali burns. Portland cement dust can irritate the skin and upper respiratory system.
Causes irritation of mucous membrane and respiratory passages.
SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF EXPOSURE
Skin and Eye Contact: Corrosive to skin and eyes. Alkali burns to skin and eyes may result if contacted.
Skin Absorption: Systematically toxic concentrations will probably not be absorbed through skin.
Ingestion: Single dose oral toxicity is low. No hazards anticipated from ingestion due to industrial exposure.
MEDICAL CONDITIONS GENERALLY AGGRAVATED BY EXPOSURE
Persons with lung disease should avoid inhalation.
Cough, dyspnea (breathing difficulty), wheezing, decreased pulmonary function, progressive respiratory symptoms (silicosis), irritation eyes and potential occupational carcinogen.

Portland cement dust can cause inflammation of the lining of the interior of the nose and inflammation of the cornea. Individuals who are allergic to chromium may develop an allergic dermatitis. (Portland cement may contain traces of chromium).
