Hazards Identification
Emergency Overview
Appearance & Odor: White to off-white solid pellets. Odorless.
Warning: Causes eye irritation.
Potential Health Effects:
Inhalation: Vapors are unlikely due to physical properties. Dust may cause irritation to upper respiratory tract.
Eyes: Pellets may cause slight eye irritation. Dusts may cause severe irritation with corneal injury . Effects may be slow to heal. When dissolving, the heat produced may cause more intense effects as well as thermal burns.
Skin: Short, single exposure is not likely to cause significant skin irritation. May cause more severe response if confined to skin or skin is abraded. A single, prolonged exposure is not likely to result in material being absorbed through the skin in harmful amounts.
Ingestion: Ingestion can cause gastrointestinal irritation or ulceration. Single dose oral toxicity considered to be low.

Repeated or prolonged contact with skin may cause dermatitis. The substance may have effects on the nasal mucous membrane, resulting in ulcerations.
