Warnings: We would like to remind our customers especially pregnant women , and those with a suppressed immune system, that cat feces can sometimes transmit a disease called Toxoplasmosis. Therefore always wash your hands after handling each cat litter. For further information consult a physician.
Do not flush this cat litter down the toilet.
Unused cat litter poses no Toxoplasmosis threat.
Do not use this product as a traction aid as it becomes slippery when wet.

Repeated inhalation of large amounts of silica dust over an extended period of time may result in adverse effects on the lungs

Acute Health Effects: From MSDS
Oral Toxicity: No evidence of adverse effects from available information.
Eye Irritation May cause mild transient irritation with excess tear production, blinking, reddening and pain.
Skin Irritation: No evidence of adverse effects from available information.
Dermal Toxicity: No evidence of adverse effects from available information.
Inhalation Toxicity Inhalation of high concentrations of dust may cause mucous membrane and respiratory irritation.
Acute Toxicity Values: This product is composed of natural clay minerals which are used as components of animal feed. These clay minerals are not acutely toxic by ingestion, inhalation or dermal contact, therefore, no toxicity values
have been established.

Sensitization: Based on data from the components this product is not expected to
cause skin or respiratory sensitization.
Chronic Health Effects: From MSDS
This product contains a small amount of crystalline silica. Repeated inhalation of large amounts of silica dust over an extended period of time may result in a progressive, disabling disease, silicosis. Symptoms include shortness of breath, chest pain and reduced lung function.

Mutagenicity: No evidence of adverse mutagenic effects from the available
information.
Reproductive Toxicity and Teratogenicity: No evidence of adverse reproductive effects from the available information.
Carcinogenicity: From MSDS
Crystalline silica has been identified by IARC and NTP as a probable carcinogen. None of the other ingredients is listed as a carcinogen or potential carcinogen by OSHA, NTP, or IARC.

The International Agency for Research on Cancer has determined that
respirable crystalline silica is a probable human carcinogen (Group 1).
The National Toxicology Program classifies respirable crystalline silica as a substance which may reasonably be anticipated to be a carcinogen. A risk assessment done on this product showed that no increase cancer risk would be expected from the customary use of this product over a person
First Aid: From MSDS
Swallowing: Clear material from mouth. No harmful effect is expected from a small ingestion. If a large ingestion is taken call a physician, poison control center or emergency room for advice.
Skin: No emergency care anticipated.
Inhalation No emergency care anticipated.
Eyes: Exposed eyes should be immediately flushed with copious amounts of
water. Hold eyelids apart to ensure rinsing the entire surface of the eye with water. Avoid rubbing the eyes as this may result in further medical irritation. If irritation or pain persists, seek medical attention.

Notes To Physician: There is no specific antidote. Treatment of overexposure should be directed at the control of symptoms and the clinical conditions.
