Acute Health Effects: From MSDS:Hazards IdentificationEmergency Overview: Causes burns. Risk of serious damage to eyes. Harmful if swallowed. Harmful in contact with skin. Irritating to respiratory system.Potential Health EffectsInhalation: Severely irritating to the respiratory tract causing chemical burns which may result in permanent damage to the nose, throat and lungs.Skin Contact: Causes burns.Eye Contact: Causes serious eye damage.Ingestion: Harmful if swallowed.Causes digestive tract burns.Signs and Symptoms: Contact with the skin can cause chemical burns, redness, swelling, and tissue damage. Swallowing of corrosive chemicals may cause immediate pain and burning in the mouth, throat, and stomach followed by vomiting and diarrhea. Contact can cause severe eye damage including chemical burns, pain, clouding of the eye surface, inflammation of the eye, and may result in permanent loss of vision.Aggravated Medical Condition: Pre-existing medical conditions of the following organ(s) or organ system(s) may be aggravated by exposure to this material: Eyes. Skin.

First Aid: General Information: DO NOT DELAY. Keep victim calm. Obtain medical treatment immediately.Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If rapid recovery does not occur, transport to nearest medical facility for additional treatment.Skin Contact: If persistent irritation occurs, obtain medical attention. Remove contaminated clothing. Immediately flush skin with large amounts of water for at least 15 minutes, and follow by washing with soap and water if available. If redness, swelling, pain and/or blisters occur, transport to the nearest medical facility for additional treatment.Eye Contact: If persistent irritation occurs, obtain medical attention. Immediately flush eyes with large amounts of water for at least 30 minutes while holding eyelids open. Transport to the nearest medical facility for additional treatment.Ingestion: If swallowed, do not induce vomiting: transport to nearest medical facility for additional treatment. If vomiting occurs spontaneously, keep head below hips to prevent aspiration. If vomiting occurs spontaneously, keep head below hips to prevent aspiration.Advice to Physician: Flush skin with water, and at the same time rub skin with PEG/meths swab. Consult a Poison Control Centre for guidance. IMMEDIATE TREATMENT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!
