Potential Health Effects
Primary Routes of Exposure: Eye. Skin. Inhalation (breathing)
Symptoms of acute overexposure
Skin contact: May cause mild skin irritation May cause skin defatting with prolonged exposure
Eye contact: Causes eye irritation Mild Eye Irritation: signs/symptoms can include redness, swelling, pain, and tearing.
Inhalation: Irritates mucous membranes. Central Nervous System Depression: signs/symptoms can include headache, dizziness, drowsiness, incoordination, slowed reaction time, slurred speech, giddiness and unconsciousness.
Ingestion: May cause headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, gastrointestinal irritation and central nervous system depression. Aspiration (breathing) of vomitus into lungs may result in pneumonitis.
Aggravated Medical Condition: Persons with preexisting respiratory, liver, kidney, eye or skin diseases may be adversely affected.

Overexposure to methyl ethyl ketone and n-hexane may cause peripheral nerve damage (that of arms and legs) and result in muscular weakness and loss of sensation. Chronic overexposure to ethyl acetate may cause anemia with leukocytosis and damage to liver and kidneys.

Eye Contact: In case of contact, immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and get medical attention if irritation persists.
Skin Contact: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash area with soap and water. If irritation persists, seek medical attention.
Inhalation: Remove person to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, get immediate medical attention.
Ingestion: If swallowed, DO NOT induce vomiting. Give victim water, call a physician immediately. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
Notes to Physician: Treatment should be directed at preventing absorption, administering to symptoms (if they occur), and providing supportive therapy.

Handling/Disposal
|
Contents under pressure. Do not puncture, incinerate or expose to temperatures greater than 120 deg F. Heat from sunlight, radiators, stoves, hot water and other heat sources could cause the container to burst. Avoid breathing vapors or mists. Intentional misuse by concentrating and inhaling the vapor may be harmful or fatal.
Store away from heat, sparks or open flame. Do not store at temperatures above 100 deg. F (38 deg. C).
