Hazards Identification:

This material is considered hazardous by the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200) Potential Health Effects

Routes of Exposure: Eye contact, Skin contact, Inhalation.

Eye Contact: Avoid contact with eyes. Severely irritating to eyes.

Skin Contact: Avoid contact with skin and clothing. Contact causes severe skin irritation and possible burns.

Inhalation: May cause irritation of respiratory tract.

Ingestion: Ingestion of this product can cause irritation of the mouth and throat, upset stomach, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.

Aggravated Medical Conditions: Exposure to this product may aggravate pre-existing skin, eye, and respiratory disorders.
Chronic Health Effects: From SDS:

Inhalation overexposure to vapors or mist of hydrochloric acid may cause irritation and/or corrosion of the respiratory tract, bronchopneumonia, or pulmonary edema.
Carcinogenicity: None known.
First Aid: Eye Contact: Remove contact lenses. Rinse with gentle stream of water for 15 minutes, holding eyelids open. Get medical advice by calling a poison control center, doctor or hospital emergency room.

Skin Contact: Rinse skin thoroughly with water.

Inhalation: Move to fresh air. If irritation or breathing difficulty develops, GET MEDICAL ADVICE by calling a poison control center, doctor or hospital emergency room.

Ingestion: If victim is a child, give 4-8 ounces of water. For adults, give 8-12 ounces of water. Do not induce vomiting when this product is swallowed. If vomiting occurs spontaneously, keep victim in an upright position. GET MEDICAL ADVICE by calling a poison control center, doctor or hospital emergency room.

Handling: Do not mix with chlorine bleach. Can react to give chlorine gas. If this occurs, flush toilet to remove chemicals and leave area. Do not return for half hour. Ventilate if possible. Never use or mix with other cleaners or chemicals. Do not use on any surface that can be damaged by acid materials. Do not breathe vapor or mist. Wash hands thoroughly after handling. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Wear protective gloves and eye/face protection. Follow label directions. Use only in area provided with adequate ventilation. Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Keep out of the reach of children. Store locked up. Keep tightly closed in a dry and cool place. No special restrictions on storage with other products. Contact with highly reactive chemicals like strong acids, strong bases, oxidizers or reducing agents may cause a dangerous reaction. Do not mix with chlorine bleach.
Disposal: Disposal should be in accordance with applicable regional, national and local laws and regulations.
