Potential Health Effects

Primary Routes of Entry: Eye contact, Skin contact/absorption, Ingestion.

Eye Contact: May cause mild irritation, stinging, tearing and redness.

Skin Contact: May cause mild irritation with prolonged contact.

Inhalation: Breathing small amounts during normal handling is not likely to cause harmful effects Breathing large amounts may be harmful. May cause nasal and respiratory irritation.

Ingestion: Swallowing small amounts during normal handling is not likely to cause harmful effects. Swallowing large amounts may be harmful. Can cause gastrointestinal irritation, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. This material can enter the lungs during swallowing or vomiting and cause lung inflammation and other lung damage.

Symptoms Of Exposure: Stomach or intestinal upset (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea), irritation (nose, throat, airways), central nervous system depression (dizziness, drowsiness, weakness, fatigue, nausea, headache, unconsciousness).

First Aid: Eye Contact: Flush eyes with plenty of water for 15 minutes. If irritation persists, get medical attention.

Skin Contact: Wash skin with soap and water. If irritation persists, get medical attention.

Inhalation: Move person away from exposure and into fresh air. If breathing is difficult administer oxygen. If person is not breathing begin artificial respiration. Keep person warm and quiet and get medical aid.

Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Get immediate medical aid. If person is drowsy or unconscious, do not give anything by mouth, place person on left side with head down. If possible, do not leave person unattended
