Acute Health Effects: From MSDS ENTRY THROUGH... Inhalation? Yes Skin? Yes Ingestion? Yes TARGET ORGANS... Normal Exposure -- Xylene: Eye, Skin -- Petroleum Naphtha: Eyes, Skin Overexposure -- Xylene: Central Nervous System, Respiratory Tract, May aggravate pre-existing heart conditions. May cause adverse health affect on Kidney and Liver on chronic overexposure. -Petroleum Naphtha: Central Nervous System, Nose & Throat Irritation, Lung, Liver EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE Eyes: Can cause irritation, redness, tearing and blurred vision. Skin: Prolonged or repeated contact can cause moderate irritation, defatting, and dermatitis. Inhalation: Excessive inhalation of vapors can cause respiratory irritation, headache, drowsiness and fatigue. High concentrations of vapors are anesthetic and may cause central nervous system effects such as dizziness. Ingestion: Can cause gastrointestinal irritation, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.
Chronic Health Effects: From MSDS Xylene may cause adverse health affect on Kidney and Liver on chronic overexposure. Prolonged or repeated skin contact can cause moderate irritation, defatting, and dermatitis. NOTICE: Reports have associated repeated and prolonged occupational

First Aid: From MSDS Eyes: Flush eyes gently with water for at least 15 minutes lifting eyelids occasionally; get prompt medical attention Skin: Wash thoroughly with soap and water; apply a mild skin cream. Remove contaminated clothing. Inhalation: Move affected person to fresh air; if breathing is difficult, administer oxygen; if breathing has stopped, give artificial respiration. Get medical attention. Ingestion: DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING! Get immediate medical attention.
