Prevention

Do not breathe mists. Wash hands thoroughly after handling. Wear protective gloves and clothing. Wear eye and face protection. Contaminated work clothing must not be allowed out of the workplace.

Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames and hot surfaces. No smoking. Pressurized container: Do not pierce or burn, even after use.

Response

IF SWALLOWED: Rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting.

IF ON SKIN (or hair): Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with soap and water/shower. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. If skin irritation or rash occurs: Get medical attention.

IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Immediately call a poison center or a physician.

IF INHALED: Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing. Immediately call a poison center or a physician

Storage

Protect from sunlight. Store in a well-ventilated place. Do not expose to temperatures exceeding 50 deg. C/ 122 deg. F. Store locked up.

Potential Health Effects

Eye Contact: Causes severe irritation experienced as discomfort or pain, excess blinking and tear production, with redness and swelling of the conjunctiva.

Skin Contact: : Brief contact may cause slight irritation. Prolonged contact may cause more severe irritation with pain, local redness and swelling, possible tissue destruction, and sensitization.

Inhalation: High vapor/aerosol concentrations (>1000 ppm) are irritating to the eyes and respiratory tract.

Ingestion: May be harmful or fatal if swallowed. Corrosive. Can cause severe burns and complete tissue perforation of mucous
