Hazards Identification

Emergency Overview: CAUTION. Contents under pressure. DO NOT puncture or incinerate container Do not use or store near heat, sparks, open flame, or any other ignition sources. Do not expose to temperatures above 130 deg F (54.4 deg C), as bursting may occur. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothing.

Potential Health Effects

Routes of Exposure: Eyes, Skin contact, Inhalation.

Eye Contact: May cause irritation.

Skin Contact: May cause irritation.

Inhalation: May cause irritation.

Ingestion: May be harmful if swallowed. May cause stomach distress, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea.

Signs and symptoms: Symptoms of overexposure may be tearing, blurred vision, headache, dizziness, nausea, burning or prickling sensation on more sensitive areas (face, eyes, mouth).
Chronic Health Effects: From MSDS:

Prolonged or frequently repeated skin contact may cause allergic reactions in some individuals.
Carcinogenicity: Non-hazardous by OSHA criteria.
First Aid: Eye Contact: Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15-20 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if applicable, after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing eye. Obtain medical attention if irritation develops or persists.

Skin Contact: Remove contaminated clothing. Immediately flush with water. Wash with soap and water. Obtain medical attention if irritation develops.

Inhalation: If symptoms develop, move victim to fresh air. If symptoms persist, obtain medical attention.

Ingestion: Obtain medical attention IMMEDIATELY. Do NOT give any liquid to the person. Do not induce vomiting. Never give anything by mouth if victim is unconscious, or is convulsing.

Notes to Physician: Treat patient symptomatically. For skin effects, a highly efficient therapeutic agent for pyrethroid exposure is topical application of tocopherol acetate (Vitamin E).

General Advice: If you feel unwell, seek medical advice (show label where possible). Ensure that medical personnel are aware of the material(s) involved, and take precautions to protect themselves. Show this safety data sheet to the doctor in attendance.

Handling: Use good industrial hygiene practices in handling this material. Contents under pressure. DO NOT puncture or incinerate container. Ensure adequate ventilation. DO NOT use near heat, sparks, open flame, near any ignition sources, or near strong acids, bases, and oxidizers. Do not get this material in your eyes or on skin. When using, do not eat or drink. Wash hands thoroughly after handling. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Store in original container upright and closed, located in a cool, dry, well ventilated place away from direct sunlight, food, and incompatible materials. DO NOT expose to temperatures above 130 deg F (54.4 deg C), as bursting may occur.
Disposal: Review federal, state and local government requirements prior to disposal. Ensure container is completely empty. Typically municipal landfill will be appropriate or recycle if available. Do not reuse or refill this container. Do NOT puncture or incinerate container!
