Potential Health Effects

Eye Contact: Contact with damaged tablets may cause slight irritation with redness and tearing. Nitenpyram is a slight eye irritant in animal studies.

Skin Contact: No adverse effects expected.

Inhalation: Inhalation of dust from damaged tablets may cause irritation of the mucous membranes and upper respiratory tract.

Ingestion: Ingestion may cause intestinal upset with nausea, diarrhea, itching and nervous system effects.
Chronic Health Effects: From SDS:

Carcinogenicity: None of the components are listed as carcinogens or suspected carcinogens by IARC, NTP, ACGIH or OSHA. Praziquantel did not cause cancer when tested in rats and hamsters at doses up to 250 mg/kg/day.
First Aid: Eye Contact: Flush eyes with water while lifting the upper and lower lids. Remove contact lenses if present and easy to do, then continue rinsing. Get medical attention if irritation persists.

Skin Contact: No first aid normally required. If irritation develops after handling damaged tablets, get medical attention.

Inhalation: If dust from broken tablets in inhaled, move to fresh air. If irritation occurs or symptoms develop, get medical attention.

Ingestion: Rinse mouth with water. Do not induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personnel. Never give anything by mouth to a person who is unconscious or convulsing. Get medical attention if large amount is swallowed.
