Potential Health Effects

Routes of Exposure: Inhalation, skin or eye contact, ingestion.

Eye Contact: May result in irritation.

Skin Contact: May result in irritation.

Inhalation or Ingestion: May cause nausea, vomiting, cramping, diarrhea, dizziness, headache, and other central nervous system effects, fever, and/or chills, muscle aches or weakness.

Medical Conditions Generally Aggravated by Exposure: Disorders of the skin, eyes, heart, lungs and respiratory system.
Chronic Health Effects: From MSDS:

Extreme overexposure may result in collapse, coma and death. Eye contact may cause irritation and possibly corneal burns. Trifluralin is a skin sensitizer.
Carcinogenicity: Not listed by IARC, NTP and OSHA.
First Aid: Eye or Skin Contact: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Call a physician. Flush skin with water. Wash clothing before reuse.

Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration, preferably mouth-to-mouth. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Call a physician.

Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Call a physician or poison control center. If available, administer activated charcoal (6 to 8 heaping teaspoons) with a large quantity of water. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Immediately transport to a medical care facility and see a physician.
