Potential Health Effects

Eye Contact: Causes eye irritation with pain, tearing, swelling and redness.

Skin Contact: May cause mild skin irritation on prolonged contact.

Inhalation: Breathing of mists may cause mild irritation to the eyes, mucous membranes of the throat and nose and upper respiratory tract.

Ingestion: May be harmful if swallowed. May cause irritation to the mouth and gastrointestinal tract. May cause abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting.

Signs and Symptoms of Exposure: May cause mild eye irritation. May cause mild skin rritation and dryness on prolonged contact.
Chronic Health Effects: From SDS

Carcinogenicity: None of the components are listed as a carcinogen or suspect carcinogen by IARC, NTP, ACGIH or OSHA.
First Aid: Eye Contact: Flush thoroughly with water for several minutes then remove contact lenses if present. Continue flushing eyes for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention if irritation persists.

Skin Contact: Wash with water. If irritation develops and persists, get medical attention.

Inhalation (Breathing): If irritation is experienced, move to fresh air. Get medical attention if irritation or other symptoms develop and persist.

Ingestion (Swallowed): Rinse out mouth and give sips of water. Do not induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personnel. Get medical attention. Call physician, poison control center or the WD-40 Safety Hotline at 1-888-324-7596.
