Warnings: WARNING! If you scrape, sand or remove old paint, you may release lead dust. LEAD IS TOXIC. EXPOSURE TO LEAD DUST CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ILLNESS, SUCH AS BRAIN DAMAGE, ESPECIALLY IN CHILDREN. PREGNANT WOMEN SHOULD ALSO AVOID EXPOSURE. Wear a NIOSH-Approved respirator to control lead exposure. Clean up carefully with a HEPA vacuum and a wet mop. Before you start, find out how to protect yourself and your family by contacting the National Lead Information Hotline at 1-800-424-LEAD or log on to www.epa.gov/lead. Caution! Cannot be made non-poisonous. Causes burns to eyes and skin, nose and throat irritation. Do not get in eyes, on skin or clothing. May be harmful if absorbed through skin. May cause allergic skin reaction. Wash thoroughly after handling.

Potential Health Effects

Primary Routes of Exposure: Skin Contact, Skin Absorption, Inhalation, Ingestion, Eye Contact

Eye Contact: Causes eye irritation.

Skin Contact: May be absorbed through the skin in harmful amounts. Substance may cause slight skin irritation.

Inhalation: Low hazard for usual industrial handling or commercial handling by trained personnel.

Ingestion: Poison, may be fatal or cause blindness if swallowed. Substance may be harmful if swallowed.

Carcinogenicity: Contains Methylene Chloride, an IARC Group 2B carcinogen.
First Aid: Eye Contact: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes holding eyelids open. Get medical attention. Do NOT allow rubbing of eyes or keeping eyes closed.

Skin Contact: Wash with soap and water. Get medical attention if irritation develops or persists.

Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Get immediate medical attention. Do NOT use mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.

Ingestion: If swallowed, induce vomiting immediately as directed by medical personnel. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Get medical attention immediately. Swallowing less than an ounce will not cause significant harm. For larger amounts, do not induce vomiting, but give one or two glasses of water to drink and get medical attention.

Handling: Wash thoroughly after handling. Wash hands before eating. Avoid contact with eyes. Keep from freezing. Keep container closed when not in use.
