Precautionary Statements

Keep only in original container. Do not breathe vapors, mist, or spray. Wash hands, forearms, and other exposed areas thoroughly after handling. Avoid release to the environment. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing, and eye protection.

If swallowed: rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting.

If on skin (or hair): Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water/shower. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.

If inhaled: Remove person to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing.

If in eyes: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Immediately call a poison center or doctor.

Absorb spillage to prevent material damage. Store locked up. Store in corrosive resistant container with a resistant inner liner.

Dispose of contents/container in accordance with local, regional, national, territorial, provincial, and international regulations.

Exposure may aggravate those with pre-existing eye, skin, or respiratory conditions. May be corrosive to respiratory tract.

Potential Health Effects

Eye Contact: Causes serious eye damage. Symptoms may include: Redness, pain, swelling, itching, burning, tearing, and blurred vision. Causes permanent damage to the cornea, iris, or conjunctiva.

Skin Contact: Corrosive. Causes burns. Symptoms may include: Redness, pain, swelling, itching, burning, dryness, and dermatitis.

Inhalation: Contact may cause immediate severe irritation progressing quickly to chemical burns.

Ingestion: May cause burns or irritation of the linings of the mouth, throat, and gastrointestinal tract. Harmful if swallowed.

General: Causes severe skin burns and eye damage.

First Aid: Eye Contact: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing for at least 60 minutes. Immediately call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician.

Skin Contact: Immediately flush skin with plenty of water for at least 60 minutes. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Get immediate medical advice/attention. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.

Inhalation: When symptoms occur: go into open air and ventilate suspected area. Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing. Immediately call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician.

Ingestion: Rinse mouth. Do not induce vomiting. Immediately call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician.

General: Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. If you feel unwell, seek medical advice.
