Danger. Causes serious eye damage. Toxic to aquatic life.

Potential Health Effects

Eye Contact: Causes serious eye damage. Symptoms may include: Redness, pain, swelling, itching, burning, tearing, and blurred vision. Causes permanent damage to the cornea, iris, or conjunctiva.

Skin Contact: Dust may cause irritation in skin folds or by contact in combination with tight clothing. May cause an allergic reaction in sensitive individuals.

Inhalation: Prolonged contact with large amounts of dust may cause mechanical irritation. May cause an allergic reaction in sensitive individuals.

Ingestion: Ingestion is likely to be harmful or have adverse effects.

General: Causes serious eye damage. Dust may cause mechanical irritation to eyes, nose, throat, and lungs.
Chronic Health Effects: From SDS:

None expected under normal conditions of use. Repeated or prolonged skin contact may cause skin irritation and/or dermatitis and sensitization of susceptible persons. Repeated contact may cause allergic reactions in very susceptible persons.
Carcinogenicity: Not classified.
First Aid: Eye Contact: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing for at least 60 minutes. Immediately call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician.

Skin Contact: Remove contaminated clothing. Drench affected area with water or soap and water for at least 15 minutes. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. Obtain medical attention if irritation develops or persists.

Inhalation: When symptoms occur: go into open air and ventilate suspected area. Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing. Immediately call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician.

Ingestion: Rinse mouth. Do not induce vomiting. Immediately call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician.

General: Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. If you feel unwell, seek medical advice (show the label where possible)

Handling/Disposal
Handling: When heated, material may emit irritating fumes. May react with metals, and alkaline materials upon prolonged contact. Material may decompose exothermically at elevated temperatures, or when damp. Contains oxidizing material, may accelerate fire. Material will evolve oxygen when contaminated, which can support combustion. Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety procedures. Wash hands and other exposed areas with mild soap and water before eating, drinking, or smoking and again when leaving work. Wash hands and forearms thoroughly after handling. Store in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Keep container closed when not in use. Keep/Store away from extremely high or low temperatures, direct sunlight, moisture, heat, incompatible materials.
Disposal: This material is hazardous to the aquatic environment. Keep out of sewers and waterways. Dispose of waste material in accordance with all local, regional, national, provincial, territorial and international regulations.
