The National Toxicology Program classifies respirable crystalline silica as a substance which may reasonably be anticipated to be a carcinogen. Swallowing: Clear material from mouth. No harmful effect is expected from a small ingestion. If a large ingestion is taken call a physician, poison control center or emergency room for advice.
Skin: No emergency care anticipated.
Inhalation: No emergency care anticipated.
Eyes: Exposed eyes should be immediately flushed with copious amounts of water. Hold eyelids apart to ensure rinsing the entire surface of the eye with water. Avoid rubbing the eyes as this may result in further medical irritation. If irritation or pain persists, seek medical attention.
Notes To Physician: There is no specific antidote. Treatment of overexposure should be directed at the control of symptoms and the clinical conditions.
