Acute Health Effects: From MSDS HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION Routes of Entry: Dermal contact. Eye contact. Inhalation. Ingestion. POTENTIAL HEALTH EFFECTS Eyes: Corrosive to eyes on contact. Eye exposure may cause severe and permanent eye injury (blindness). Skin: Corrosive to skin on contact. Skin contact may produce burns. The amount of tissue damage depends on length of contact. Inhalation: Corrosive to the respiratory system. Liquid or spray mist may produce tissue damage particularly on mucous membranes of eyes, mouth and respiratory tract.Ingestion: May be fatal if swallowed. Can cause burns to mouth, throat and stomach.
Chronic Health Effects: From MSDS Repeated or prolonged contact with spray mist may produce chronic eye irritation and severe skin irritation. May cause dermatitis. Repeated or prolonged exposure to spray mist may produce respiratory tract irritation leading to frequent attacks
Carcinogenicity: Not listed as carcinogen by OSHA, NTP or IARC
First Aid: Eye Contact: Flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Get medical attention Skin Contact: In case of contact, immediately flush skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Get medical attention immediately. Inhalation: If inhaled, remove to fresh air. If irritation persists, get medical attention. Ingestion: Do NOT induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personnel. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Have conscious person drink several glasses of water or milk. Get medical attention immediately.
