Potential health effects

Primary Routes of Exposure: Eye and skin contact, ingestion, inhalation, skin absorption

Symptoms of acute overexposure

Skin contact: May cause skin defatting with prolonged exposure. Prolonged absorption may cause damage to blood, kidneys and

nervous system.

Eye contact: Moderate eye irritant (stinging, burning sensation, tearing, redness, swelling)

Inhalation: Excessive inhalation causes headache, dizziness, nausea and incoordination.

Ingestion: May cause gastric distress (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea). May cause central nervous system effects.

Medical Conditions Recognized as Being Aggravated by Exposure: Preexisting pulmonary and dermatological disorders.
Chronic Health Effects: From MSDS:

May cause central nervous system effects. Chronic overexposure to ethyl acetate may cause anemia with leukocytosis and damage to liver and kidneys..

First Aid: Eye Contact: In case of contact, immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and get medical attention if irritation persists.

Skin Contact: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash area with soap and water. If irritation persists, seek medical attention.

Inhalation: Remove person to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, get immediate medical attention.

Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Slowly dilute with 1-2 glasses of water or milk and seek medical attention. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person If spontaneous vomiting occurs, hold the victims head lower than hips to prevent aspiration
